Alexandra Salomon is a veteran in digital media, online advertising and marketing, and focused international business her entire career. Currently working for Disney Publishing, she is tasked with defining the strategy and roll out of Disney Digital Books internationally. She is also working with several small publishers as advisor for their digital strategy and technology selection.

Prior to this, she was responsible for international growth and operations at Zinio, a leader in digital publishing and marketing services. This included the acquisition of new publishers, marketing and promotion of the digital titles, and all localization of e-commerce international sites.

Before Zinio, Alexandra spent several years with Yahoo! based in Southern California. First, she lead international strategy and product development/marketing for the Global Product Management group at Overture (search marketing), and then managed international sales development, product monetization, and trade marketing events in the Yahoo! sales team.

Her digital focus started back in 1996 at AOL International where she oversaw global advertising deals and alliances, international interactive marketing strategy, account management, sales, training and local market development. During her 7 years there, she worked with over 100 clients and agencies including eBay, Philips, Coca-Cola, Travelocity, Monster.com, Schwab and Toyota.

Alexandra grew up in Europe, speaks French, Russian and Spanish, has traveled around the world and worked in a number of countries. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University and an MBA in International Trade and Finance. She is also a juror of the International Emmy awards, active in social media, and frequently speaks at media and publishing trade events.
